Assistant Physician or Consultant at the Nuclear Medicine Department
To complete its team, the Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Department, attached to the Medical Radiology Department of the CHUV, is seeking an assistant physician or consultant with a workload between 80% and 100%. The starting date is planned for 1 August 2026 or to be agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Department performs more than 10,000 diagnostic examinations per year (including over 6,000 PET/CT scans) and 500 nuclear medicine therapies. It is equipped with state-of-the-art scanners (2 PET/CT SiPM TOF, 3 SPECT/CT) with access to non-FDG radiopharmaceuticals (FET, FCH, FDOPA, DOTATOC/-TATE, PSMA, soon FAPI) either available or under development, and access to preclinical (microPET/SPECT/CT) and clinical research.
Mission
- You are responsible for reading nuclear medicine examinations (scintigraphy, PET/CT and SPECT/CT) and participate in their integrative interpretation in all areas of the specialty, including paediatrics and therapy (Consultant)
- You participate in postgraduate teaching of assistant physicians training in nuclear medicine (Consultant)
- You perform nuclear medicine examinations (scintigraphy, PET/CT and SPECT/CT) and participate in their integrative interpretation in all areas of the specialty, including paediatrics and therapy (Assistant Physician).
Profile
- You hold a medical degree and, for the Consultant position, you possess a specialist title in nuclear medicine or equivalent training recognised by MEBEKO
- You have knowledge in oncological CT radiology and musculoskeletal radiology, which is an asset, or you hold an ISFM specialty in radiology or equivalent MEBEKO certification
- You have an interest in acquiring skills in hybrid imaging and molecular imaging
- You show an interest in clinical research.

Within a young and dynamic team, you will have:
- The possibility to undertake dual training in nuclear medicine + radiology over 7 years, and attend preparatory courses for the first part of the ISFM exam in nuclear medicine or radiology
- The opportunity to attend congresses and training in nuclear medicine
