Coding Manager

Your tasks
- You lead a team of 11 collaborators, both technically and organisationally
- You ensure the timely closure of coding for the acute inpatient care domain and for ST Reha
- You contribute to the development and implementation of projects in the field of medical coding
- You actively develop collaboration with other departments of the HFR
- You provide basic and continuing education in medical coding, both within the team and for other professional groups
- You independently manage the follow-up of audits and coding revisions
- You handle reimbursement refusals from health insurance companies and establish a dedicated controlling system which you manage
Your profile
- Training in medical coding is essential; the federal diploma as a specialist in medical coding is an advantage
- Recognised training in public health, with several years of professional experience and very good knowledge of anatomy, terminology, pathology, biology and medical-surgical techniques
- Proven experience in medical coding in a Swiss hospital environment, complemented by management experience
- French language skills with very good knowledge of German
- Communicative personality with excellent leadership skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office

- You lead the department of 11 employees both professionally and organisationally
- You are responsible for the timely completion of coding in the acute inpatient and ST Reha areas
- You participate in the development and implementation of projects in the field of medical coding
- You actively promote collaboration with other departments of the HFR
- You ensure the training and continuing education in medical coding both within the team and for other professional groups
- You independently manage audits and coding revisions
- Independent handling of health insurance rejections as well as the establishment and management of a rejection controlling system
Your profile
- Training as a medical coder is essential, with a federal specialist certificate being an advantage
- Recognised training in public health and several years of professional experience, very good knowledge of anatomy, terminology, pathology, biology and medical-surgical techniques
- Proven experience in medical coding in a Swiss hospital as well as in management
- French with very good German skills
- Communicative personality with strong leadership abilities
- Good knowledge of MS Office
