Your Tasks

• You will care for your own patients in your consultations and perform surgical procedures adapted to your level of training under supervision.
• You will cover the spinal surgery service at KSA and perform interventional pain therapy in the spinal area as well as adjacent joints, initially under supervision depending on your training level, then increasingly independently.
• You will independently carry out specialist tasks with conservative and operative treatments and be involved in the training of assistant doctors.
• Your scientific contributions at national and international congresses will be welcomed after familiarisation.
• You will learn the entire spectrum of spinal surgery, except for intradural tumour surgery; the latter can be planned through rotations in other clinics.

Your Profile

• After completing training as a specialist in Neurosurgery or Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System (mandatory with MEBEKO recognition), ideally with an additional title in Special Spinal Surgery and SSIPM competency certificate, you are interested in comprehensive training and work in spinal surgery.
• You are a dynamic, resilient personality with the ambition to learn a complex field of orthopaedics/neurosurgery, demonstrate above-average performance and aim, in addition, for the specialist title in spinal surgery planned by the professional societies.
• You welcome interdisciplinary collaboration and actively help shape it.
