Apprenticeship as Health Specialist EFZ (FaGe) from August 2027

You do well at school — but the best part of your day isn’t the classroom. You enjoy talking to people. You prefer helping to watching. And you’ve been wondering for a while whether nursing and health might be exactly what you want to do. Not because your parents say so. But because it feels right.

• 1st year — Basics & Support
• 🚀 You accompany experienced nursing professionals and FaGe specialists on assignments. You learn to observe, ask, understand — personal care, medication administration, documentation. You will never be sent off alone before you are ready.
• 2nd year — First responsibility
• 🚀 You take on your first own assignments — with a trainer as support. You know your clients, understand what needs to be done, make your first own decisions. Interdisciplinary insights into physio and ergo.
• 3rd year — On the way to completion
• 🚀 You work independently with your own rounds. QV preparation (qualification procedure), final project, internship report. Those who do well receive a job offer after the EFZ — as a full FaGe team member.

What you learn during the training

• ✅ Basic and personal care for people at home
• ✅ Medication administration and nursing treatment tasks
• ✅ Measuring, observing, documenting vital signs
• ✅ Communicating with and supporting relatives
• ✅ Insights into physio, ergo and speech therapy
• ✅ Digital documentation and care planning

• ✅ Completion of compulsory schooling (or shortly before) — level Sec A/B, BMS class or comparable.
• ✅ Interest in people and health — not just as a career wish, but as genuine curiosity.
• ✅ Reliability — clients are waiting for you. Punctuality and dependability are not extras.
• ✅ German language skills — you communicate daily with clients and relatives, both written and spoken.
• ❌ You don’t need a driving licence yet — in the 1st year you will be accompanied. Those who turn 18 can get a driving licence — we support you with this.

• 👩 🏫 Fixed trainer, your personal contact person — for professional questions, feedback and support.
• 🤝 Accompanied assignments, you always go along in the 1st year — no throwing you in at the deep end.
• 👓 Insight into all therapies, physio, ergo, speech therapy, nursing — you see all areas, not just one.
• 🏝️ 5 weeks holiday, plus health bonus.
• 👍 Chance of employment after EFZ, those who graduate receive a concrete offer as a FaGe in the team.
