Christian Cavegn AG is a transport company headquartered in Landquart with additional locations throughout Switzerland and is today one of the leading providers in the field of temperature-controlled food transport in Switzerland.
Since 2025, Christian Cavegn AG has been part of STEF Switzerland and the STEF Group. Together, we have a national transport network as well as the corresponding logistics infrastructure for the storage and picking of temperature-controlled products.
Together, we offer producers and trade a complete range of services in the field of temperature-controlled food logistics.
To strengthen our team in Schafisheim, we are looking for a committed and motivated individual as Site Manager (m/f/d).
Your Tasks
You manage the entire operation of the site and coordinate interfaces with all relevant areas: dispatch/transport, goods handling/warehouse, HR/personnel administration at the site, fleet at the site, and, if applicable, customer centre or other functions assigned to the site.
- Management and coordination of daily business
- Coordination of resources between dispatch, goods handling, and fleet
- Ensuring demand-oriented personnel and capacity planning
- Ensuring the agreed service quality
- Supporting key customer relationships
- Handling complex escalations and complaints
- Initiating sustainable improvement measures
- Monitoring the economic development of the site
- Analysing key cost and performance indicators
- Identifying deviations and initiating appropriate corrective measures
- Considering changes in volumes and operational requirements in planning
- Leading directly subordinate managers
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding
- Setting targets, performance evaluations, employee development, and involvement in personnel and disciplinary measures in coordination with HR
- Ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and group-internal requirements
- Continuous improvement of processes and collaboration between departments
- Identifying optimisation potential as well as implementing and supporting changes and projects
Your Profile
- Completed training in logistics or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in food logistics
- Leadership experience and the ability to motivate a team
- Expertise in transport and logistics processes as well as site organisation
- Business management knowledge, cost control, and understanding of performance indicators
- Organisational skills and a structured way of working
- Good knowledge of common IT systems in logistics
- Resilience, flexibility, and a solution-oriented mindset
