The AGV

The Aargau Building Insurance, founded in 1805, is a centre of expertise for prevention, intervention and insurance. It is the oldest institution of its kind in Switzerland. It not only acts as an insurer – it also helps to prevent and reduce damage. Its services protect the population, assets and the environment.

The AGV insures buildings in the canton against fire, natural hazards and water damage. Building damage often occurs unexpectedly and can quickly become costly. Prompt claims processing and competent advice on the right insurance coverage are important. We are completing the claims service team and are looking for you.

Your tasks

• You inspect fire, natural hazard and water damage, order the necessary damage mitigation measures, check the cause of the damage and the insurance coverage, determine the amount of the damage and agree on the further procedure with the customers.
• You advise customers on insurance matters. You also explain the AGV’s supplementary insurances and conclude them if necessary.
• You advise customers on the possibilities of prevention measures.

Your profile

• You are a technician HF in construction management for structural engineering or a construction manager HFP.
• You have experience in structural engineering and/or construction management.
• You live in the northern part of the canton of Aargau and carry out administrative work in the home office. The AGV provides you with the necessary work tools and IT infrastructure.
• You communicate well and appreciate direct contact with customers. Even in demanding situations, you argue objectively. Your judgement is sound, even with complex issues.
• You are well organised and work independently.
