About the job

Your main responsibilities:

• Operation, monitoring and continuous development of the local and hybrid IT infrastructure with a focus on availability, performance, capacity, security and lifecycle management
• Administration and optimisation of Microsoft Exchange and hybrid messaging services, including mail flow, email authentication, domain protection and complex troubleshooting
• Operation and further development of VMware vSphere/ESXi, Windows application servers as well as group-wide storage and backup services
• Administration of the local Active Directory, including group policies, user and service accounts, DNS and DHCP, as well as operation of the hybrid identity synchronization with Microsoft Entra ID
• Planning and execution of patch and update management as well as provision of 2nd and 3rd level support, including incident, problem and change activities
• Leadership and participation in infrastructure projects, technical integrations and migrations – from analysis and planning through implementation to handover to group operations and technical documentation

Your qualifications:

• Higher education or professional qualification in information technology or a comparable qualification with relevant practical experience
• Several years of professional experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange and hybrid messaging services, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP as well as Microsoft Entra Connect
• Solid experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, virtual server environments, server patch management, infrastructure hardening and monitoring
• Good knowledge in mail flow and email authentication, especially SPF, DKIM and DMARC, as well as experience with incident, change and root cause processes
• Experience in infrastructure projects and migrations; knowledge of PowerShell and automation as well as experience with technical corporate integrations and relevant Microsoft or VMware certifications are advantageous
• Strong service orientation, sense of responsibility and reliability as well as an independent and team-oriented working style in an international environment; very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
