"An alternative to the swimming pool" "Games in the streets" will be more diverse and extensive than ever in 2025. The farewell of Bremgarten's principal Guido Altstadt after 45 years of school was a great and extremely successful event to encourage as many families as possible to take a trip to the town. The farewell was emphasized, he assures, that until the last moment, nothing was suspected. For this, a rich program with a variety of games and offers was prepared. The organizers, however, also acted extremely cunningly. Wirth was lured into a meeting at the town hall. "When it ended, I first noticed that something must be up because everyone was grinning," he recounts. It was not until he was outside that Wirth realized that something special was planned for him, as he was to say "Auf Wiedersehen" to his homeland for five weeks. Meanwhile, he travels somewhere far away to let his soul dangle by the sea. However, for a large part of the population, such things are hardly affordable or not desirable for other reasons. School summer holidays with children therefore mean for most also a lot of time at home. And this can be quite long, depending on the situation. "I then hear quite often: 'Mom, when does school start again?'" laughs Claudia Marinello.

Together with her colleagues, Marinello and Winteler present a holiday program in the old town, which is as extensive and diverse as never before. "It starts big," smiles Winteler. On Saturday, July 5, Susanne Emch will come with her Judo school to the old town and transform the area at the Spittelturm into a martial arts stage with spectacle character. "It will work out well this year," Wirth is pleased. "So we can attract attention and become known among families," says Marinello, co-leader of the daycare at the St. Josef Foundation. And vice versa, the collaboration makes sense. "With the Flügepilz, we are practically at the forefront of the 'Games in the Streets' in the old town from Saturday, July 5, to Friday, August 8. Regula Meier Röstli led the Künter School for 20 years. Unlike Wirth, however, Meier-Röstli never lived in "her school village". Nevertheless, the position was very dear to her. The forestry operation will be carried out in the week of August 12 to 13, through online service hours 24/7 from July 7 to 11 at the Bremgarten Promenade. Dead trees will be removed. And for her, it was the most beautiful job ever, even if it was often associated with a lot of stress. Very soon, she will be able to take it a little easier.
