The IT department of the University of St.Gallen provides the IT infrastructure, end devices, applications, and cloud services, and supports the staff and students of the university with IT-related questions in connection with teaching, research, and administration.
Your Tasks
- Operation, maintenance, and further development of mail and communication systems (MS Exchange Online, SMTP gateways, mail routing)
- Examination, implementation, and operation of security measures in the mail environment (anti-SPAM/anti-malware filters, ATP, AIP, EOP, etc.)
- Provision of user accounts and permission assignments using IAM tools
- Co-responsible for the operation and maintenance of the PKI infrastructure
- Procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Windows server systems
- 2nd level support in the specialist area as well as project management and collaboration
- Participation in the further development of communication systems and implementation of security solutions
Your Profile
- Completed training in the field of Windows Server (IT specialist EFZ or equivalent training), Linux knowledge is an advantage
- At least three years of professional experience as a system engineer
- Very good knowledge of M365 security and services, Exchange online, SMTP gateways, security measures in the mail area, and PowerShell scripting
- Good knowledge of IAM systems (account management) and PKI
- Very good German and good English skills
- Balanced, team-oriented, service-oriented personality with high independence and flexibility
- Willingness to continue education and openness to new technologies
