About the job
Climate-friendly energy? We find that appealing. At the Gösgen nuclear power plant, we produce around 13 percent of Switzerland's electricity demand, safely, reliably and economically. Our workplace is fascinating: here, technology meets know-how. Care meets team spirit. And you meet 650 other professionals.
Understand technology. Lead people. Live safety.
You want not only to operate technical systems but also to understand how they interact – while simultaneously taking responsibility for people? Then a special task awaits you at the Gösgen-Däniken nuclear power plant.
As Head of Reactor Control Technology and Nuclear Instrumentation, you lead a team of six employees and work on technically demanding systems where modern digital technology meets proven plant controls. You combine technical understanding with leadership strength, analytical thinking and a sense of responsibility.
You keep an overview even with complex issues, get to the root of causes, develop sustainable solutions and drive improvements forward together with your team.
A role for a personality who wants to delve deeply into technology, take responsibility and take the next step in their leadership career.
- Leadership with technical depth: You lead a team of six employees both professionally and personally, develop your team further and delegate tasks purposefully.
- Responsibility for plant systems: You monitor and assess their condition, analyse findings and derive appropriate measures for safety, reliability and availability.
- Planning and coordination: You plan and coordinate maintenance, servicing and overhaul work and ensure optimal deployment of internal and external personnel.
- Technical development: You plan and implement improvements, upgrades, renewals and changes and constructively question existing processes.
- Faults and projects: You lead fault rectifications, analyse system behaviour and work in interdisciplinary projects for the renewal and further development of control technology systems.
- Networked collaboration: You work closely with internal and external specialists and interfaces.
- You have a completed electrical engineering degree FH or HF, for example in electrical engineering, systems engineering or automation, as well as several years of experience in operation, maintenance or project planning of control technology systems.
- You bring initial leadership experience in a technical environment and want to take the next step into a technical leadership role.
- You quickly grasp complex technical contexts, think in a structured, analytical and networked way and remain focused and persistent even with demanding or initially unclear issues.
- You take responsibility, work independently and solution-oriented and know how to communicate technical matters clearly and appropriately for the audience.
- You communicate very well in German and well in English and maintain a respectful, binding interaction with employees and internal partners.
- You lead with clarity and appreciation, develop employees further and contribute your own initiative to the further development of existing processes.
- Secure workplace in an established, technically proficient and responsible company
- Targeted promotion of expertise and competencies
- Market-appropriate salaries combined with an attractive package of additional benefits
- Excellent pension fund solutions to secure the future
- Enjoyable catering in the company’s own staff restaurant
- Diverse sports and leisure activities in company clubs
- A working environment characterised by mutual respect, team spirit and an open communication culture
