PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Within the dynamic Swiss Markets Region (5 markets : Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, Panama & India), you drive the Eyewear business and ensure integrity of the CHANEL brand across all distribution channels (+230 doors across wholesale, E commerce, Fashion and F&B Stand Alone Boutiques including Travel Retail).
As the Regional Eyewear Category manager, you oversee all aspects of the business, in strong partnership with dedicated teams across fashion, F&B and Luxottica.
You align and coordinate plans with local & global teams and you are the key contact of the Eyewear Global Paris team for all activities across the Swiss Markets region, advocating for the product category in the region.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Buying & Planning
-
Monitor the implementation of the product strategy for Eyewear with markets
-
Define, implement relevant Merchandising KPIs (Sales, SOH, Sell Thru) and follow-up through detailed reporting

Oversee sales forecasting and planning in partnership with Finance team
-
Oversee assortment and buys of new collections and reorders across all distribution channels & contribute to OTB definition

Produce quantitative & qualitative analysis for each boutique before the Buys
-
Build buying guidelines for 12 collections per year (8 podium + 4 seasonal)

Animate Buying in the showroom, accompany markets throughout the whole buying session providing the best expert advice and being the voice of markets requests to Global

Provide Monthly Reorders recommendation

Drive pricing in local currency and harmonization process

Ensure monitoring of product shipments and new collection launches.

Monthly call with Global Supply Chain

Perform orders reallocations in Anaplan when needed
E commerce

Align & communicate business objectives to cross functional local and global teams in partnership with regional digital team

Share recommendations on websites merchandising based on new arrivals, best sellers, trends
Wholesale

Lead the review and alignment of the sales & marketing plan with Luxottica and the Global Eyewear teams, ensuring the Swiss Markets distribution strategy reflects the Global vision

Oversee market distribution strategies
-
Monthly call with Global Eyewear, Global Luxottica & local Luxottica teams to review visual merchandising, Architecture and distribution updates.

Represent the Swiss Markets region as a participant in Luxottica’s quarterly business meetings, reviewing all distribution channels and supporting with agreed follow up actions & ensuring consistent alignment and performance delivery.

Champion brand training sessions for the wholesale teams dedicated sessions including, delivering brand storytelling and product heritage presentations

Extending invitations to key CHANEL events to deepen engagement.

Safeguard Brand Image & standards through regular field visits in partnership with Luxottica and local General Management
Marketing & Communication

Partner with F&B and Fashion Marketing teams to enhance visibility of the eyewear category through EDMs and digital cards (campaigns deployed by Marketing)

Partner with the Media Team to shape the annual media plan and budget: ensure launches, new collections and stock availability are fully integrated into media activity.

Partner closely with the PR team on eyewear strategy: share key investments during the buying sessions to support gifting opportunities
Staff engagement & Training
In partnership with Learning & Global teams, plan new collection training for retail teams and tailored ad-hoc sessions.

Act as the main point of contact for FA’s engagement and feedback on the collections

Oversee seasonal training initiatives ensuring consistent product knowledge and category expertise across boutiques.

Support boutique teams with regular morning briefs in Fashion and F&B boutiques to reinforce key launches and priorities.
Operations & After-sale
In partnership with Retail operations team,

Coordinate after-sales service flows with Luxottica for both boutiques and e-commerce

Administer after-sales service tools and platforms
-
Coordinate training sessions for after-sales teams

Oversee order management for packaging & after-sales spare parts
Brand performance & Insights

Provide competitive intelligence: benchmark best practices, research across digital & retail to understand the eyewear business across Swiss Markets and nourish local & global teams with ideas to grow the business, relevant for CHANEL.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Experience & Background
• 8–12 years of experience within fashion, luxury, or accessories
• Proven experience in category management, merchandising, or business development
• Strong exposure to an international matrix organization
• Solid multi-channel experience (retail, wholesale, and e-commerce) is essential
• Experience in eyewear or accessories is a plus, though not mandatory

• Strong understanding of assortment planning, OTB management, pricing, and forecasting
• Ability to lead a category with both a strategic and analytical mindset
• Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination skills
• Strong product sensitivity and acute understanding of brand image and positioning
