About the job
The Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Office is responsible for the execution of debt enforcement and bankruptcies in the canton of Glarus, thereby realising the compulsory, state-enforced collection of monetary claims in the interest of creditors.
We are looking for a
Head of Bankruptcy Office 100 %
from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, based in Glarus.
Tasks
- Bankruptcy proceedings for legal entities and natural persons, bankruptcy estate liquidations, legal assistance orders, special liquidations and estate proceedings
- Submitting applications and drafting final reports to the bankruptcy judge of the canton of Glarus
- Drawing up purchase contracts for real estate and chattels, private sales of real estate including land registry measures
- Bankruptcy office real estate auctions and special liquidations
- Deputising for the management of the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Office
Requirements
- Commercial or equivalent training with a specialist certificate in debt enforcement and bankruptcy or a bachelor’s degree in law
- Several years of professional experience in the field and ideally initial leadership experience
- Precise, efficient and independent working style
- Resilience, negotiation skills and a high sense of responsibility
- High social competence and assertiveness
