For our client, an internationally successful and future-oriented engineering and industrial company in the Central Plateau region, we are seeking a committed reinforcement for the finance team as part of a succession arrangement (retirement). If you love numbers and bring broad business management expertise, this is your chance!

Your tasks In this versatile position, you will take on a wide range of responsibilities in finance and accounting:

• Financial accounting & controlling: Overall responsibility for financial accounting in the ERP system (Abacus). Management of the general ledger and cash as well as competent support for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Preparation of reports and reconciliations (e.g. sales bonuses, cost centres).

• Accounts payable: Independent management of accounts payable, including supplier registration, invoice posting, execution of payment runs as well as processing of expense and credit card statements.

• Accounts receivable: Responsible management of accounts receivable, posting of invoices and incoming payments, professional dunning/collection as well as maintenance of the customer base.

• Taxes & banking: Preparation of VAT returns for Switzerland and Germany, determination of bank balances and control of bank guarantees.

Your profile

• Successfully completed commercial basic training, ideally supplemented by specialised further training in finance (e.g. accounting clerk).

• Solid practical experience in accounts payable and receivable as well as dunning procedures.

• Strong numerical affinity and confident knowledge in the area of VAT (Switzerland and Germany).

• A thoughtful, resilient personality with a very precise and reliable working style.

• Confident use of MS Office; user knowledge of Abacus is a great advantage.

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form; additional languages (English/French) are a plus.
