The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,500 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Centre has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by 2 Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinics (CGR), as well as 2 medical on-call services. The Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinics welcome patients in acute geriatric care, Early Geriatric Rehabilitation (RGA), and geriatric rehabilitation (Bed B). For the CGR, Providence site in Vevey, the medical department is advertising the position of:
Chief Resident or Deputy Chief Resident at 80%-100%
The main responsibilities of this position are
- Ensure patient care, in collaboration with senior physicians, according to institutional standards
- Supervise and train assistant doctors with the help of senior medical staff
- Participate in the on-call rota
- Participate in projects and the development of the geriatrics service
- Thrive in your profession
We require
- A federal medical diploma or a diploma issued by an EU member state and recognised by the Federal Office of Public Health (MEBEKO) or recognition from postgraduate training institutions IFSM in Switzerland
- The FMH title in general internal medicine (or in the process of obtaining it)
- Experience in Geriatrics, or at least an interest in Geriatrics
- An open, motivated and dynamic personality, eager to learn and integrate into the existing team and collaborate with senior physicians of partner services
