Qualified nurse for the Musculoskeletal Department
We are looking for a qualified nurse with a workload between 80% and 100% from 1 August to 30 September 2026 for the Musculoskeletal Department (DAL).
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Musculoskeletal Department (DAL) brings together the Rheumatology, Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Plastic and Hand Surgery Services, the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Bone Diseases Centre as well as a Sports Centre. It manages pathologies related to the skeleton, tendons and joints, whether accidental or degenerative in origin.
As part of absence replacements, you will be required to work across all services of the Musculoskeletal Department (DAL).
Mission
- You ensure the identification, planning, execution and evaluation of nursing care in the preventive, curative, palliative and educational fields for patients through clinical assessment, respecting professional standards and the rules in force within the institution
- You ensure the proper execution of delegated medical acts and take responsibility for them by demonstrating mastery of technical skills
- You ensure the reception of patients and their relatives and preparation for discharge as well as the organisation of work, the smooth running and continuity of the unit's activities through mastery of communication and coordination within the interprofessional team
- You develop and carry out actions for disease and accident prevention, health maintenance and promotion as well as functional rehabilitation and social reintegration through teaching approaches
- You participate in and ensure initiatives to improve the efficiency of nursing care based on scientific evidence and develop your self-assessment and learning capacities.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing HES (or an equivalent qualification). If your diploma was obtained abroad, you must have recognition from the Swiss Red Cross.
- You master nursing gestures and techniques with rigour and professionalism.
- You are proficient in patient records and the documentation and prescription aspects thereof.
- You demonstrate:
