Huttwil now supports parents of schoolchildren with the financing of holiday care.
With this, the municipality aims to improve the compatibility of family and work and also enable financially weaker families to access holiday care.
The holiday care in the day school has existed for some time. Until now, parents had to bear the costs themselves. From next summer, the municipality will pay part of the care costs. This reduces the contribution per care day and child.
Kibe Region Huttwil AG, which offers the day school and holiday care for Huttwil, therefore expects higher demand and better utilisation of the offer.
The municipal council has accordingly adjusted the education ordinance. The offer thus meets the cantonal requirements, allowing the canton to also participate in the financing.
