Salines Suisses SA produce and process high-quality salt for many applications, in their three saltworks of Riburg, Schweizerhalle and Bex. In Bex, Salina Helvetica – Salt Mines of Bex, the only mine still in operation in Switzerland, welcomes more than 80,000 visitors each year deep inside the mountain. With our new immersive journey "The Salt Adventure", this story is now experienced like never before: sound, light, emotion. All that’s missing is you to tell it.
To strengthen our team of guides, we are looking for:
Versatile Guides (hourly)
High tourist season: 40 to 100% (indicative)
Low tourist season: 20 to 40% (indicative)
Your role
With friendliness, humour and competence, you guide and animate your groups through the mine – on foot and aboard our Miners’ Train – and bring the story of Alpine Salt to life.
What you can achieve with us
- Guide and animate visits and ensure the operation of the trains
- Offer visitors a warm welcome and ensure their safety
- Advise and sell in the Boutique
- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the site
Your professional and personal qualities
- French and German: native-level proficiency (essential requirement) – Italian and English an asset, any other language welcome
- An open, positive personality and natural contact with all audiences
- Good physical condition and presence of mind
- Availability on weekends (two or more per month) and during school holidays
- Experience in tourism, animation or catering: an asset
