Childcare Specialist EFZ 40-50%

The municipality of Widnau, as a central municipality in the Middle Rhine Valley with over 10,000 inhabitants, is the "youngest" municipality in the canton of St. Gallen. The municipality of Widnau offers a high-quality supplementary childcare service with the after-school care/lunchtime supervision.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Childcare Specialist (40 - 50%) from 1 July 2026 or by arrangement.

• Care and age-appropriate support of children aged 4 to 12 years
• Co-design and organisation of the educational daily routine in the after-school care as well as collaboration at lunchtime supervision
• Planning, structuring and implementation of a varied and needs-oriented daily schedule
• Accompanying the children in their daily activities as well as targeted support of individual learning and development processes
• Active collaboration and regular contact with teachers and parents
• Planning, organisation and execution of project weeks and parent activities
• Guidance and support of trainees within the framework of training sessions

• Completed training as a Childcare Specialist (FaBe) or an equivalent pedagogical qualification
• Several years of experience in caring for and supporting children
• Team spirit, flexibility as well as a high degree of responsibility, reliability and empathy
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Completed vocational training course as well as willingness and motivation to train FaBe apprentices and interns
