Lawyer in the Legal Service 60 - 80%Do you enjoy administrative law and have an interest in political processes?
We are looking for you as a lawyer in our legal service starting 1 September 2026 or by arrangement.
In the legal service of the Office for Mobility, we are responsible for the office's legal matters, draft appeal decisions for the government council, and manage building lines. We accompany projects in the mobility sector from a legal perspective and advise the specialist departments in the areas of administrative law, spatial planning law, and traffic law.
In this role, you are part of the legal service team consisting of nine people. You are responsible for the legal support of the office's affairs, supporting and advising the office's employees together with your team colleagues.
Your tasks:
- Handling legal issues in administrative, spatial planning, and traffic law
- Instruction of appeal procedures regarding disputed road construction projects and drafting judgements for the government council
- Conducting appeal procedures as party representation (e.g., regarding PTLG or building lines)
- Handling requests under the principle of public access or data protection issues
- Preparing statements, reviewing contracts, and supporting tenders
Your profile:
- Completed studies in law (Swiss university), possibly supplemented by the lawyer's licence
- Several years of professional experience, preferably in a public administration, a court, or as a lawyer in the field of public law
- Interest in administrative law issues and enjoyment in familiarising yourself with new topics and legal areas
- Confident and error-free written and spoken expression in German

The Office for Mobility shapes transport development in the Canton of Zurich with the aim of enabling demand-oriented and sustainable mobility and deals with future topics such as digitalisation, climate protection, and future infrastructure. The main areas of responsibility of the approximately 80 employees include the development and implementation of overall transport concepts, the substantive responsibility for the cantonal transport spatial planning, the strategic planning of road infrastructures, and supervision of the night flight regulations at Zurich Airport.
