Deputy Shift Supervisor

To strengthen our Gas Operations Mono Plants division at Arxada, Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for a Deputy Shift Supervisor in chemical production.
 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for training and further development of employees

• Ensuring smooth shift operations and organizing all arising work orders as well as responsibility for shift handover

• Ensures contact with external operational entities (porter / on-call / fire brigade) in case of incidents

• Leading the team regarding tasks, priorities, breaks, and absences

• Ensuring the implementation of required work in the assigned work area under applicable regulations (safety, environmental protection, and quality)

• Questioning daily work in collaboration with the shift team employees and accordingly developing improvement proposals
   

Qualifications and experience:

• High commitment to strengthening the safety culture

• Motivation for shift work (including night shifts and weekends)

• Experience as a plant specialist in chemical production or service companies and in handling process control systems

• Preferably completed CPT or CPP apprenticeship (formerly certified operator) or willingness to start it

• You are interested and ready to learn new technologies and continuously further your education

• Committed, flexible, and reliable personality
