Head of ICT Support 80 – 100%
The Intercantonal University of Special Education (HfH) is the most important Swiss competence centre for special and remedial education with around 2,000 students. In teaching, research and services, we are committed to participation and educational equity. Our work combines scientific excellence with social responsibility and is oriented towards the needs of practice, politics and the education system. For the IT Services department, we are looking for a committed individual to start immediately or by arrangement, who will contribute their expertise, develop staff and ensure reliable and customer-oriented support together with the team.Your area of responsibility
- Professional leadership and further development of the ICT Support team in collaboration with the IT Services management
- Responsibility for the operational deployment and presence planning of the ICT Support team
- Active participation in 1st level support for staff, lecturers and students via walk-in, telephone and ticket system
- Prioritisation, coordination and appropriate escalation of support cases
- Responsibility for the organisation and further development of ICT support as well as continuous optimisation of support processes and procedures
- Coordination and assistance with the setup, relocation and commissioning of IT workstations and end devices in Windows and macOS environments
- Procurement of IT resources from needs assessment through evaluation and quotation to order processing
- User support for audio and video infrastructure in teaching and meeting rooms
Your profile
- Basic training as an IT specialist EFZ or comparable qualification in the IT field
- ITIL certification is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in ICT support and initial experience in taking on professional responsibility for a team
- Strong service orientation and enjoyment of direct user support
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows as well as good knowledge of macOS and iOS
- Experience with audio and video technology in meeting or training environments is an advantage
- Strong communication skills, organisational talent and a structured, solution-oriented working style
- Excellent communication skills in German
