The Chinderhuus Simsala in Windisch and Brugg is a lively establishment offering family- and school-complementary care to around 380 children aged from three months to the end of primary school.

From 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a

Cook EFZ 90% / Monday – Friday

We are seeking an enthusiastic cook who brings the motivation and joy to ensure, together with two catering staff, the smooth running of the catering for our various locations. Up to 800 meals per week are prepared and delivered for 4 locations in our central kitchen in Windisch.

Your tasks

• Main responsibility for the entire planning, procurement, preparation and distribution of catering
• Balanced menu planning
• Leading catering staff
• Responsible for adhering to the department budget
• Responsible for compliance with and implementation of all hygiene regulations
• Co-designing and further developing concepts and structures in catering
• Collaboration with operational management

You bring with you

• Completed training as a Cook EFZ mandatory
• Several years of professional experience in a similar position (catering for large (children's) groups)
• Sound knowledge of allergies and food intolerances
• Passion for healthy and balanced cooking for children as well as high quality standards
• Independent and structured way of working
• Enjoyment in dealing with children
• Good MS Office skills and good German language skills mandatory
• Driving licence category B and impeccable character
