Public Prosecutor 60 - 80%The Public Prosecutor's Office II of the Canton of Zurich conducts complex criminal investigations against adults in the areas of organised crime and cybercrime as well as special investigations (official offences, corruption, offences against the state, etc.).
From 1 February 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a motivated individual for our committed team at the Police and Justice Centre Zurich as a Public Prosecutor (60 - 80%).
These are your tasks
- As a Public Prosecutor, you lead and carry out criminal investigations in the area of organised crime (especially qualified drug offences and human trafficking), usually combined with covert surveillance measures.
- You work closely with the police on a tactical, operational and strategic level.
- You independently represent your charges before the district court and, if suitable, also receive the authority to represent your cases in appeal proceedings.
- In addition, we value your participation in projects and commissions.
How you convince us
- You have several years of experience in handling criminal cases as well as court experience. Ideally, you have experience in the area of covert surveillance measures.
- You apply your very good knowledge of criminal and criminal procedural law practically and conduct your investigations systematically and efficiently.
- Formally, you are eligible for election as a Public Prosecutor according to the Zurich Court Organisation Act.
- Your personal strengths include absolute integrity, discretion and high resilience. Diplomatic skill combined with assertiveness enables you to consistently implement your will to prosecute.
- You decide independently and take responsibility, but also stand out for your ability to work in a team and collegiality.
