The Hospital Network AR
The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden, with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In education under the direction of Ms Sarah Tihanyi, Ms Sandra Widmer is seeking a Nurse HF in Training for the Psychiatric Centre location in Herisau from 15 September 2027.
Your tasks
- You take responsibility for your own learning process and reflect on it.
- You reflect on your own attitudes and engage with ethical questions.
- You communicate transparently, promptly and completely.
- You plan nursing interventions and orient yourself according to the nursing and treatment concepts of the hospital network.
- You evaluate the effect and impact of your nursing interventions and document them fully.
- You carry out prescribed preventive, therapeutic and diagnostic measures.
- You shape communication and relationships adapted to the needs of patients and relatives.
- You provide timely and precise information to the intra- and interprofessional team about the health status and developments of the patients.

- You have a Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ) as a healthcare professional.
- You are distinguished by strong communication and relationship skills.
- Networked thinking and a high sense of responsibility are among your strengths.
