What you will do
The position includes the methodological conception, analysis, and editorial preparation of consumer-relevant studies and market analyses. The focus lies at the interface between data science and business journalism. Data collection and the creation of initial text drafts are largely carried out using automated, AI-supported systems. The emphasis of the role is on validation, strategic study planning, and the qualitative finalisation of publications in collaboration with the Comparis subject matter experts.
Your tasks
- Methodological study design: Development of study designs and survey instruments (e.g. questionnaires) based on the topics and objectives set by the Comparis experts.
- Data interpretation: Analysis and validation of evaluations provided by data analysts to derive relevant market insights.
- Editorial quality assurance: Revision and finalisation of automatically generated raw texts to ensure high journalistic quality and precision together with the Comparis experts.
- Result preparation: Preparation of complex data sets for different publication formats (press releases, social media, interactive tools, etc.).

What we expect from you
- Educational level: Enrolment in a master’s degree programme in social sciences, sociology, psychology, or a comparable discipline with a quantitative focus.
- Methodological focus: Solid knowledge in empirical social research as well as the ability to professionally interpret statistical analyses.
- Language skills: German at native level with excellent editorial expression and good English skills.
- Role focus: The emphasis is on methodological rigour and textual precision. Topic development and technical AI management are not part of the position.
