• Development and implementation of category strategies for service-relevant material groups (spare parts, wear parts, main inspections, services)
• Responsible for managing and further developing the BRCCs (Bogie Revision Competence Centers) for cost-driving assemblies
• Proactive co-design and further development of the commodity group strategy in coordination with the manufacturing plants
• Identification of cost reduction potentials and implementation of continuous improvements, especially with regard to TCO optimisations
• Conducting thorough supply chain analyses
• Benchmarking of international markets and deriving corresponding optimisation and procurement measures
• Building, maintaining and actively managing relevant supplier relationships
• Leading complex price and contract negotiations as well as concluding long-term contracts
• Close collaboration with Engineering, Service Operations and other relevant stakeholders

• Completed studies in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing or category management – ideally in an industrial environment or the rail sector
• High competence in dealing with complex systems as well as a strong affinity for commercial and economic contexts
• Proven experience in conducting international negotiations
• Very strong analytical skills and a pronounced understanding of fact-based decision-making
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a clear result- and solution-oriented approach
• Fluent English and German skills, both business fluent in speaking and writing
• Confident, conscientious use of Office applications and their effective utilisation in daily work
