Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for a specialist as Civil Engineer / Project Manager Infrastructure Construction for the independent handling of diverse infrastructure projects in the Solothurn region and the Central Plateau. You will accompany smaller and medium-sized projects in road and utility construction from planning through tendering and awarding to realisation. In addition to technical planning, you will increasingly take responsibility for project management, costs, deadlines and coordination and work closely with clients, authorities and other specialist disciplines. The position is suitable both for experienced project managers and for civil engineers with solid infrastructure construction experience who are aiming for the next step into independent project management.
Responsibilities:
Independent handling and management of infrastructure projects in road and utility construction from contract award to realisation
Planning of road facilities, developments and utility infrastructures through the relevant SIA project phases
Preparation of preliminary projects, construction projects and execution projects including technical reports and planning documents
Coordination of utilities, road construction and other specialist disciplines as well as alignment of planning interfaces
Preparation of tender and submission documents as well as participation in bid comparison, awarding and contractor coordination
Responsibility for project controlling, cost management and schedule monitoring as well as early management of deviations
Support during execution and realisation as well as technical assistance with questions during the construction phase
Ensuring planning according to relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as cantonal and municipal requirements
Coordination and exchange with municipalities, cantons, authorities, clients, suppliers and internal specialist departments
Leadership and coordination of interdisciplinary project teams as well as ensuring a structured flow of information and planning
Support in acquisition, offer preparation and customer care in the infrastructure construction business field
Qualifications:
University degree as Civil Engineer FH or ETH (BSc/MSc), ideally with a specialisation in traffic or infrastructure construction
Professional experience in planning and execution of infrastructure constructions in Switzerland
Solid knowledge in road construction and/or utility construction
Knowledge of relevant SIA and VSS standards as well as Swiss planning and construction practice
Experience in project management, project controlling, tendering and awarding is an advantage
Good knowledge of common CAD, tendering and project management software
Very good German language skills spoken and written
