About the job
At Endress+Hauser, progress happens through collaboration. As a world-leading provider of measuring instruments, our more than 18,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether innovating and implementing new technologies as a team, collaborating on the development of new devices, or strengthening important relationships with various global industries: our work is based on building trusting relationships that help everyone succeed. As a family-run company, we look beyond short-term goals and work to create a future-oriented vision for our employees, our customers, and the world in general.
We are looking for a Project Engineer Solutions (m/f/d) to complement our team and implement innovative automation and software solutions for demanding customer projects. At Flowtec AG in Reinach, we develop and produce highly precise flow measurement technology and actively shape the digital future of the process industry.
What is the role about?
You will accompany demanding automation solutions throughout the entire lifecycle – from the initial idea to successful commissioning. The focus is on highly precise transfer measurement and billing solutions, such as refuelling or loading and unloading ships.
You will operate at the interface of automation, software, and hardware, combining these into powerful overall systems. Are you excited by the prospect of transforming complex technical requirements into well-thought-out solutions and experiencing their impact directly in real-world use?
What tasks will you undertake?
You will
- take technical responsibility for solution projects from concept to implementation and actively drive their realisation
- ensure technical feasibility and work at the interface between instrumentation, electrical hardware, communication, as well as software and visualisation
- develop and implement automation solutions with PLC (according to IEC 61131-3, e.g. CoDeSys)
- create and be responsible for electrical drawings in control cabinet construction
- develop and extend visualisations and user interfaces using modern web technologies such as Angular or React
- support sales with technical queries and solution designs
- handle service cases as Level 2 or 3 support
What do we expect from you?
You
- have a degree in electrical, automation, or systems engineering or a comparable qualification
- bring experience in PLC programming (IEC 61131-3) as well as a solid understanding of control technology
- have practical experience in electrical planning and creating electrical drawings
- have an interest in or initial experience with web technologies such as Angular or React
- possess a good understanding of the interplay between IT, software, and automation, and ideally have initial experience in system integration
- communicate confidently in German and English and work independently, solution-oriented, and enjoy interacting with customers
- are willing to travel up to 15%
What can you expect from us?
- We are a family-run company with great commitment and a sustainable vision.
- We promote lifelong learning through diverse training and further education opportunities, internal knowledge transfer, and e-learning.
- We offer you a varied role that combines classic automation with modern software development and gives you plenty of scope for creativity.
- We enable you to work on real, complex systems and experience your solutions directly in use.
- We foster close collaboration between engineering and software and create an environment where ideas are developed together.
- We support your professional and personal development in a future-oriented environment.
