Your varied position at the Social Region Olten
The Office for Child and Adult Protection Olten (AKES) carries out mandates on behalf of the municipalities of Trimbach, Winznau, Hauenstein, Ifenthal, Wiesen, and the city of Olten in child and adult protection.

Tasks
Your tasks in the Assessment team:
- You assess the necessity of measures for children, adolescents, and adults; for this, you talk to those affected and their system, conduct home visits, and obtain reports from specialist agencies
- You work intervention-oriented and organize voluntary support services during the assessment
- You prepare the assessment report with recommendations and proposals for the KESB
- Possibly, you accompany social work students
And with additional assumption of guardianships:
- Independent management of official mandates in child and adult protection
- Support, advice, and representation of clients in legal and financial matters
- Management of clients' income and asset administration
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with authorities, institutions, and third parties
- Participation in the design and further development of our organization and services
Expectations
- Tertiary degree in Social Work or equivalent education with further training in child and adult protection
- Professional experience in assessment and/or mandate management
- A high degree of independence in work organization, initiative, quality awareness, and discretion
- Good knowledge in administrative work (Word / KLIB), file management, and social security law
- Empathy for people in difficult life situations
- Team player with a strong service orientation and high social competence
