Our Finance Department is responsible for transparent accounting organized according to New Public Management (NPM). To strengthen our management team, we are looking for a strong leadership personality as:

Head of Finance Department

Your main tasks:

• Professional and personnel management of a team of four employees as well as mentoring apprentices
• Responsibility for the proper management of financial, accounts payable, and accounts receivable accounting including dunning and debt collection, collection, and value-added tax
• Ensuring efficient processes and continuous optimization of accounting procedures
• Consulting and supporting specialist departments in financial matters
• Participation in budgeting, reporting, and annual financial statements
• Responsibility for insurance matters (property and liability)
• Ensuring a functioning internal control system (ICS)
• Taking on the role of key user for the specialist applications in the finance area

Your profile:

• Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting
• Several years of professional experience in the finance sector, preferably in public administration
• Knowledge of HRM2 and ideally qualification as a Bernese financial administrator
• Leadership experience and enjoyment in promoting employees and apprentices
• Independent, structured, and responsible working style
• High social competence, strong communication skills, and assertiveness
