Joining our institution means actively contributing to rethinking ambulatory pathways by placing quality, safety and patient experience at the centre of priorities. In this context, we are recruiting a Head to support the development of our ambulatory surgery centre and its endoscopy activity.
What will you be responsible for?
- Managing the operational running of the ambulatory surgery centre (day clinic and endoscopy activity)
- Planning and optimising patient flows and scheduling with an efficiency focus
- Supervising, coordinating and uniting a multidisciplinary team (approx. 21 FTEs)
- Overseeing the integration, supervision and training of staff and students
- Ensuring quality, safety and continuity of care throughout the patient journey
- Participating in the development and strategic direction of ambulatory activity
- Anticipating activity changes and proposing organisational adaptations
- Implementing continuous improvement processes and managing performance indicators
- Promoting collaboration with specialist doctors and anaesthetists as well as all accredited doctors
involved - Collaborating in the management and follow-up of certification and quality audits and contributing to institutional projects
- Applying directives and promoting institutional projects
- Ensuring effective communication upwards, downwards and across all partners
Who will you work with?
In the Day Clinic, our team includes 10 nurses and 1 nursing assistant in endoscopy and ambulatory service. It is a supportive, versatile, always smiling and dynamic team. The service’s watchwords are "Mutual support, empathy and indulgence".
In Interventional, our team consists of 8 nurses and 4 technical assistants in endoscopy and ambulatory service. It is a supportive and dynamic team, experienced and always eager to develop new skills and activities. The service’s watchwords are "Good humour, rigour and treats".
What do we expect from you?
Essentials:
- Hold a diploma in nursing, operating theatre technician or an equivalent qualification, ideally complemented by management training (CAS, DAS or MAS)
- Proven experience in team management within a hospital environment
- Significant experience in the operating theatre, ideally as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse, with a good understanding of surgical requirements
- Strong ability to structure, organise and prioritise in a demanding environment
Your assets:
- Experience in setting up or transforming ambulatory activity
- Mastery of the specific challenges of endoscopy (flows, scheduling, safety)
- Ability to support change, mobilise teams and transform organisations
- Proactive and driving a continuous improvement dynamic
