Our specialist departments in the Real Estate Office of the Canton of Zurich have their hands full managing, developing and administering one of the largest and most exciting portfolios of public property in Switzerland as owner representatives. We in the legal service support them and work on all the office's projects to achieve the common goals.
Your tasks
- legal support of the specialist departments in their projects and business
- oral and written legal advice to stakeholders in the areas of public and private law, especially in construction, real estate, contract and property law as well as in tendering and general administrative law
- reviewing and revising contracts and resolutions
- legal support of tenders
- management and support of civil, criminal and administrative proceedings of all kinds
Your profile
- university degree in law - ideally bar admission and several years of professional experience (preferably in administration)
- strong sensitivity to the needs of different stakeholders
- strong communication skills and appropriate conduct towards the audience
- quick comprehension and the ability to quickly grasp complex issues
- enjoyment in dealing with different stakeholders and collaborating across professional boundaries

The Real Estate Office (IMA) acts as owner representative for the canton’s real estate and is responsible for developing and implementing the real estate strategy. It also manages the numerous properties of the central and district administration, conducts all real estate transactions of the Canton of Zurich and advises other departments on legal and economic matters of real estate management.
