The Merian Iselin Clinic is a state-of-the-art private clinic in Basel, focusing on the fields of orthopedics, surgery, and urology. We work closely with attending physicians and benefit from a variety of individual surgical techniques. This allows us to provide an exciting and varied work environment.

Your main tasks
- You ensure the structural, interdisciplinary, and material organization and logistics in the operating area under guidance for planned and emergency surgeries

- You are responsible for the proper handling of sterile goods as well as the operation of the technical devices and facilities before and during the surgeries

- You prepare the instruments in a timely and anticipatory manner in collaboration with the surgeons and work with

Your training path
- Full-time training* structured in school block weeks and several weeks of internships (40% theory, 60% practice), duration 3 years
*Part-time training possible: 80% workload during internships
- Higher entry, credit for previous training at tertiary level in the healthcare sector possible
(dipl. nursing specialist, or an equivalent qualification recognized in Switzerland)
- Comprehensive practical training by our qualified training team in a modern and family-like environment
- Theoretical part of the training at the «Higher Vocational School for Health and Social Affairs HFGS» in Aarau
- Opportunity to complete a two-day suitability assessment at the Merian Iselin Clinic as part of the admission process

You bring
- Social competence, flexibility, willingness to take responsibility, psychological and physical resilience, as well as excellent
communication skills
- Practical and technical skills and interest in the healthcare sector
- Completed secondary education II, completed vocational training with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) or
vocational school certificate or maturity certificate or equivalent qualification
- Successful participation in a suitability assessment/admission procedure
