About the job
The Office for Urban Development is responsible for the further development of living and residential spaces, the business location, as well as the Smart City. We are guided by the principles of sustainable development. Organisationally, the office is subordinate to the City President within the Presidential Department. We are looking for a committed social worker to join our infoDesk and welcomeDesk immediately or by arrangement. In this role, you will advise people with a migration background. As a member of our low-threshold contact point for the migrant population, you represent the Office for Urban Development and contribute to integration work and a culture of welcome in our city. You will work closely with internal and external partners.Your Tasks
- Conducting information and advisory discussions at the infoDesk and welcomeDesk
- Further development of the knowledge database on topics such as housing, work, health, finances, leisure, German courses, ageing, youth, early support, family reunification, naturalisation, status changes, etc.
- Networking with internal and external agencies
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree (university, university of applied sciences) in Social Work
- Communicative personality with a strong service and solution orientation
- Experience in using digital tools and affinity for digital processes
- Initiative, independent and flexible personality
- Initial professional experience in counselling and information
- Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary team and agile working methods
