In order to contribute to a translational project aimed at linking fundamental discoveries in neuroscience to clinical applications through the development and application of advanced computational approaches (interpretable artificial intelligence, complex network science, machine learning methods), Professor Camilla Bellone’s laboratory is seeking a
Full-time Assistant Professor
The successful candidate must be highly motivated and capable of developing and leading projects independently, in line with the laboratory’s core themes: neural circuits, social functions, and psychiatric disorders.
Required qualifications and skills
- PhD in computer science, physics, applied mathematics, computational neuroscience, or equivalent field.
- Postdoctoral research experience in the application of advanced data analysis methods, including machine learning, complex network analysis, or multimodal data processing (MRI, EEG, calcium imaging, multi-electrode recordings).
- Proven experience as first/corresponding author of scientific publications in these fields.
- Ability to design, adapt, and refine analytical pipelines for exploiting complex datasets from a translational perspective.
- Solid knowledge of innovative computational approaches likely to expand the laboratory’s methodological capabilities.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising master’s students in neuroscience or bachelor’s or master’s students on internships and contributing to teaching on the theme of artificial intelligence and computational neuroscience, according to the laboratory’s needs. Experience in student supervision and teaching is therefore necessary.
Starting date
March 1st, 2026 or date to be agreed upon.
