Procurement Manager
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of purchasing and logistics-related activities within the procurement function to support the business. Every day, you carry out assigned activities according to ABB standard procedures. You will also demonstrate your expertise by conducting and participating in training programs as needed to ensure compliance and promote professional development.

This function contributes to the overall success of ABB PMA
You are primarily responsible for:
Independent management of procurement projects – from requirements determination through supplier selection and negotiation to series delivery
Coordination of project procurement from kick-off to handover to operational purchasing, including technical and administrative processing in collaboration with specialist departments
Implementation of purchasing and logistics strategies, focusing on cost optimization, quality assurance, and delivery reliability
Implementation of uniform procurement processes and standards to ensure quality, sustainability, and efficiency

Qualifications for the Role
Completed technical or commercial training with further education in purchasing (e.g., qualified purchasing manager)
Several years of experience in project purchasing of technical components in an industrial environment
Knowledge of strategic purchasing is an advantage
Very good knowledge of SAP (MM module) and MS Office
Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
Assertiveness and confident appearance
Analytical, networked thinking and experience in process and project management
Negotiation skills and a solid basic understanding of financial contexts
Initiative and the ability to develop and implement ideas
