About the job
We offer you the opportunity to gain professional experience on the job during a 3-year employment. By changing the specialist area annually within FINMA, you will gain in-depth insights into different business areas of financial market supervision and continuously expand your expertise in asset management, banking, and enforcement.
Main tasks
- Support in the licensing of institutions such as banks, securities firms, fund management companies, collective asset managers, asset managers, trustees, and custodian banks as well as collective investment schemes
- Clarification of supervisory law issues and preparation of analyses taking into account the latest developments in financial markets and the associated risks
- Investigation and assessment of possible violations of financial market law provisions and enforcement of supervisory law
- Participation in any legislative revisions
- Representation of the financial market supervision at the forefront, taking on responsibility and further developing the practice of the supervisory authority
Profile
- Completed Master’s degree in law at a Swiss university as well as a Swiss bar admission or a doctorate
- Very good academic performance
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Very high level of commitment, initiative, and sense of responsibility
- Very good German or French skills (C2) as well as good knowledge of the other language (B2) and good English skills (B2)
