For our Buildings Department Laboratory and Healthcare Construction, we are looking for you as a Contract Manager. Your place of employment will be our location in Basel. In this key role, you are responsible for professional contract, claim and risk management of demanding laboratory and healthcare construction projects and act as a competent contact person for project teams, clients and partners.
Your responsibilities
- You manage contract, claim and change order management throughout the entire project cycle – from review and creation to negotiation of construction, supply and service contracts
- You identify contractual, technical and financial project risks early and develop appropriate strategies to successfully address them.
- With your expertise, you advise and support our project management on all contract-related issues
- You conduct negotiations with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities and other stakeholders confidently and goal-oriented
- Together with internal and external legal departments, you handle disputes, claims and additional demands and contribute to successful resolution
- In close collaboration with project management, procurement, costing, controlling and legal, you ensure that our projects remain on course for success from a contractual perspective
Why you succeed
- Completed studies in civil engineering, industrial engineering, business law, business administration or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in contract, claim or project management within the construction or real estate industry
- Sound knowledge of contract law, risk management and negotiation skills
- Analytical, structured and solution-oriented working style combined with entrepreneurial thinking
- Assertiveness, negotiation skills as well as very good German language skills; English skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel to project-related appointments on construction sites and company locations within Switzerland
