The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Acute Hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

We are looking for

In the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy under the nursing management of Mr Sven Lang, Nathalie Scola is seeking a qualified registered nurse in the field of acute psychiatry from 01.10.2026 or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Professional care of our patients as a key contact person in the nursing process from admission to discharge within an interdisciplinary team
• Implementation and design of group offers as well as planning and conducting regular individual conversations
• Co-design of the ward environment and ward procedures
• Opportunity for further special tasks or participation in working groups
• Support of trainers in the education of future nursing professionals

Your profile

• Completed training as a Dipl. Registered Nurse HF
• 1-2 years of experience in acute psychiatry is an advantage
• Flexibility and interest in collaboration within an interprofessional treatment team
• Willingness and enjoyment in working in an environment with rapidly changing situations
• Willingness to work shifts in a 24-hour operation
