For our charity shop in Murten, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an entrepreneurial, capable, and independent person as
Manager or Manageress of Charity Shop 80 - 100%
You...
- largely independently manage "your" charity shop with 5-7 employees. You should be able to speak both German and French.
- ensure flawless customer contact, whether in the shop, at customers’ homes, by email, or on the phone.
- have a pronounced flair for shop design and assortment maintenance
- build a network and acquire new customers to exploit the potential of your charity shop
- offer and plan apartment and house clearances on site at customers’ premises
- organise the collection and acceptance of donated furniture as well as their presentation and sale in the shop
- accompany your drivers during clearances and are willing to lend a hand yourself
- ensure a pleasant and attractive atmosphere in the charity shop with your employees
- are responsible for pricing in the shop
- handle "the administrative tasks" efficiently and carefully
- are responsible for the budget and manage the cash register
- can independently develop and implement ideas to ensure the economic success of your charity shop
- ideally live in the catchment area of your charity shop in Murten or have a good network there
You should bring:
- Enthusiasm for retail and our secondhand sector.
- A completed vocational training, ideally in sales/retail, and a good connection to the textile or furniture industry
- Manual skills and good physical condition
- Entrepreneurial thinking and the willingness to fully commit yourself
- Sales competence and negotiation confidence with customers, partners, and donors
- Leadership experience
- Fluent German and French skills and understanding of Swiss dialect
- Driving licence category B.
