The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counseling. The Breitenstein Center is part of the Office for Youth and Career Counseling and is supported and co-financed by the municipalities of the Andelfingen district.
The Breitenstein Center in Andelfingen provides social services in the areas of child and adult protection, personal assistance, counseling, and prevention for the population of the Andelfingen district. The services are aimed at families, youth, and children as well as adults with special needs, social difficulties, and/or addiction problems.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed colleague for the Youth and Family Counseling department starting June 1, 2026.
What tasks await you?
As a guardian, you will carry out civil law child protection measures and advise families, children, and youth according to your assignments. The counseling covers a wide range of topics related to family organization, upbringing, separation and divorce, questions about custody responsibility, and child protection issues. Good and close cooperation with authorities, schools, institutions, and specialist offices is highly valued.
What do you bring?
- Education at a Swiss University of Applied Sciences for Social Work
- Experience in youth and family assistance as well as statutory social work
- Optional additional training in systemic solution-oriented counseling
- Empathy for people in special life situations
- Negotiation skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
