This is what you can look forward to.
For the railway to run smoothly, the right material must be at the right place at the right time. That is exactly what you ensure. You contribute to reliably supplying our area warehouses and construction sites with the necessary materials, thus making an important contribution to a functioning railway infrastructure. You can expect a varied and dynamic working environment with a lot of personal responsibility. Together with your team colleagues as well as internal and external partners, you find pragmatic solutions even under demanding conditions. You respond flexibly to short-term changes, keep an overview and ensure that the material arrives where it is needed. We support your development and offer you a variety of internal training opportunities for your personal career at SBB. Benefits such as a free GA travelcard, discounted travel abroad – also for the family – can be found on our website under Benefits.
This is what you will achieve.
- You carry out logistics orders in the area warehouse and on construction sites and represent us as a logistics service provider to our internal and external partners.
- You independently take care of the provision, dispatch and transport preparation of shipments and load them using the necessary equipment such as forklift, pallet truck or crane.
- As a "doer" type, you ensure the material supply of the construction sites: from provision and delivery to management and return of the material.
- In a varied area of operation, you are responsible for goods receipt and inspection of incoming goods with booking in the SAP ERP system.
- You ensure professional warehouse management and legally and environmentally compliant storage and contribute to the continuous improvement of our warehouses and processes.
- You work with modern work systems such as laptop and mobile, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook, thus staying uncomplicated and up to date in contact with our colleagues and partners.
This is what you bring with you.
- Reliability characterises you; you consistently meet deadlines, specifications and agreements and work carefully and responsibly even in hectic situations.
- You work independently, recognise tasks and tackle them on your own initiative. You do not always wait for a specific instruction but actively contribute and support the team where you are needed.
- You have completed vocational training as a logistics specialist EFZ or an equivalent qualification and have at least two years of professional experience in warehouse and production logistics as well as the corresponding logistics modules.
- You have a valid forklift licence and practical driving experience.
- You have already gained experience in handling an ERP or warehouse management system as well as SAP knowledge.
- You have German language skills at least at level B2 in spoken and written form. In addition, you have good user knowledge of MS Office applications.
