The Fribourg Penitentiary (the institution) consolidates the enforcement facilities of the Canton of Fribourg. It has the legal form of a public-law institution with its own legal personality. It is administratively assigned to the Directorate of Security, Justice and Sport and is subject to the supervisory authority of the State Council. The institution ensures the guarding, accommodation, care and treatment of prisoners in its custody and contributes to the implementation of the objectives for the enforcement of custodial sentences and measures.

Your tasks
- Active and constant surveillance in and around the buildings
- Maintain order and security
- Operate technical systems and alarm transmission devices
- Ensure the last evening medication
- Ensure discipline, order and security with the help of the service dog
- Care for detainees as needed
Desired profile
- FZ or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Several years of professional experience
- Federal specialist certificate for enforcement officers from the Swiss Competence Centre for the Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions or willingness to complete the training
- Solid experience in training and educating a service dog
- Good physical and mental fitness as well as flexibility and stress resistance
- Sensitivity for interpersonal relationships, communication and conflict resolution
- Willingness to apply coercive measures
- Willingness to work in shifts (irregular working hours, including Saturdays and Sundays)
- Clean extracts from debt enforcement and criminal records
- Good computer skills (MS Office)
- Proficiency in German or French with good knowledge of the other language
