Inventory Specialist for the Monument Service

For the Monument Service, within the Office of Culture, we are looking for an inventory specialist starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Conducts the inventory and documentation of historically protected monuments in the Canton of Graubünden.
- Develops decision-making and argumentative bases for the careful management of our historical-cultural heritage and planning issues.
- Prepares the cantonal inventory of buildings covering the entire cantonal territory and represents it to municipalities and owners.
- Completes on-site observations with source studies and archival research and reports the results in writing in a database.
What we expect from you
- Academic training in art history, history, or architecture.
- Ideally, you have knowledge in the field of building inventory.
- You are able to quickly identify and assess the overall structure of both groups of buildings and individual buildings.
- You are skilled in the efficient cataloging of archival collections.
- You express yourself easily and precisely in German (both written and spoken).
- You have knowledge of another official cantonal language, preferably Italian.
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to travel throughout the canton complete your profile.
