Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospitals worldwide according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
Within the Angiology Service, you will work in a clinical and scientific environment specialized in vascular diseases. This service combines diagnosis, care, and research, particularly on the mechanisms of thrombosis, inflammation, and vascular wall function. You will participate in experimental projects directly contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the cardiovascular field.
Mission
- You learn basic techniques in cellular and molecular biology, especially on cell cultures
- You participate in laboratory experiments, including sample preparation, handling cells or tissues, and monitoring biological assays
- You contribute to the maintenance and proper upkeep of the laboratory, ensuring the care of equipment and materials
- You write, analyze, and archive your experimental results (laboratory notebook, files, databases)
- You exchange scientific and technical information within the team and participate in the continuous improvement of methods and protocols.
Profile
- You have completed your compulsory schooling (VG level with good results in scientific subjects or VP desired.)
- You are precise, methodical, and meticulous, with a strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
- You have a logical and rigorous mind, enjoy understanding how things work, and learning through experimentation.
- You demonstrate scientific curiosity and can maintain concentration over time.
