The Swiss Science Center Technorama in Winterthur, with over 350,000 visitors annually, is one of the largest extracurricular educational institutions and leisure destinations in Switzerland and one of the most renowned science centres in Europe. It offers an almost endless variety of experimental stations, exhibitions, shows, laboratories, and workshops, as well as an exceptional park, providing the opportunity to experience astonishing phenomena from nature and technology in a playful and educational way 365 days a year.

The exhibits and experimental stations are built and maintained in our own workshop. For this creative team, we are looking for an

Automation Technician EFZ 80 - 100%

This is what you will do with us:

• You will build new exhibits (prototypes) for our exhibitions in teamwork with colleagues from the workshop and the development department.

• You will maintain and repair the exhibits together with the team and further develop them.

• You will independently create controls and programmes based on PLCs, including wiring, schematics, and documentation.

• You will support the building services and specify external PLC projects with suppliers.

Ideally, you bring the following:

• You have completed vocational training as an automation technician and already have several years of professional experience.

• You are familiar with control system construction and programming, including commissioning.

• You ideally have experience in PLC programming, TwinCAT from Beckhoff.

• You work independently as well as in a team, are proactive, courageous, eager to try new things, and find innovative solutions.

• For challenging tasks, you rely on your structured creativity and your own skills as well as on solution-oriented exchange with the team.
