The Terra Vecchia Foundation works with people towards the future. For people with or without addiction disorders, we offer a variety of services within the framework of work integration, housing support, and inpatient social therapy.
For the care and support of clients in social therapy family placements and housing support, as well as for the support and coaching of our host families, we are looking for you from January 2027 or by arrangement as
Social Therapy / Housing Support Specialist 80%
The team of family placements and housing support accompanies and cares for young people and adults with and without addiction issues in around 24 host families in the canton of Bern as well as in supported and assisted living. You can expect a challenging, very independent and responsible role with broad scope for design, contemporary employment conditions, and professional support.
Your tasks
- Care and process support for individuals and small groups
- Coaching of host families
- Case management including administration and report writing
- Taking on individual duties in supported living
- Close collaboration with specialists from social therapy and housing support, other internal departments, and management
- Taking on areas of responsibility as well as active participation in working groups and committees
- Networked collaboration with cost bearers, external specialist agencies, and relatives
You hold a diploma or a BA in Social Work or Social Pedagogy. In addition, you have expertise and experience, preferably in the areas of addiction disorders and dual diagnoses, communication skills, and supporting people in challenging life situations.
You organise yourself independently and reliably and are motivated to accompany and care for clients on site in the host families while also supporting our host families. If needed, you are also happy to support clients in assisted and supported living. You work with commitment, independently, and solution-oriented, while also valuing exchange and close collaboration within the team. Participation in weekly meetings and taking on on-call duties are feasible for you. A category B driving licence is required for this role.
