As a business unit within the METTLER TOLEDO Group, Process Analytics MTPRO is a leading provider of field instruments for the analysis of liquids and gases in the process industry. At our headquarters in Urdorf, we develop and produce high-quality sensors for controlling production processes, which we distribute worldwide through our own market organization. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic personality as a Database Specialist 100% (all genders). In the role of Application Engineer, you are part of our vision towards automation and digitalization in production. You are a member of the Software Engineering team within Industrial Engineering in the Operations Division. In collaboration with members of other departments (automation, production, quality, and process engineering), you help shape and drive the future direction regarding process automation & data management as well as promote digitalization & standardization at the Urdorf site. In this role, you take on the following tasks: You manage software solutions, interface applications for data management, databases, and MES/ERP interfaces in production as an administrator with the goal of integrating new modern systems and standardization. You are responsible for creating and managing databases in test and production environments. You are responsible for printing and labeling applications, layouts, as well as the maintenance and support of print servers. You are responsible for ERP/MES data configuration, administration adjustments, and the user management system. You manage software repositories, the version control system, and interfaces to other applications. You support projects for the industrialization of new or modernized plants in production in the areas of software, applications, and databases. You act as 2nd-level support for production problems and disruptions related to software, production applications, databases, and plant connectivity. You ensure complete documentation, management, and maintenance of software solutions in the production environment.
