The Church District One belongs to the Parish of Zurich and includes the old town with the churches Fraumünster, Grossmünster, St. Peter, the Wasserkirche and the Predigerkirche. The city church St. Peter is a lively, open place where the pastor, organist and cantor jointly develop new formats of celebration. Our St. Peter choir is firmly anchored in the community and actively shapes the musical life with its rich church music tradition.
Your tasks
- Co-design of new formats such as "Petrina at five" (Sat, at 5:00 p.m.) as well as other devotions throughout the year
- Design of festive services, concerts, low-threshold sing-along projects, singing for the elderly, etc.
- Leading the weekly Tuesday rehearsals of the St. Peter choir as well as two rehearsal weekends per year
- Cantoral services without choir
- Participation in parish committees and in the music team of Church District One
Your profile
- Master's degree in church music with a focus on choral conducting or equivalent cantor training
- Experience in church music practice and repertoire of performed oratorio works
- Interest in shaping today's church and contributing impulses for the church of tomorrow
- Enthusiastic, humorous and communicative personality who works inspiringly with amateurs and professionals
- Team player and enjoys working with various stakeholders
- Openness and curiosity towards a broad musical-stylistic spectrum
