Department description:
As an intern in our SRO unit, your main activity will be to keep the laboratory asset database up to date and to be involved in cross-functional activities for purchase orders and budget monitoring. You will contribute to the activities of the Scientific Equipment Management team and will have the opportunity to work on other interdisciplinary projects.
This pre-HEG internship position is reserved only for people wishing to pursue a Bachelor's degree at a Swiss University of Applied Sciences. For these studies, it is necessary to validate 1 year of professional experience before starting. Profiles currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master will not be considered, we thank you in advance for your understanding.
Description of activities:
- Keep the laboratory instrument management system up to date
- Contribute to the monitoring of purchase orders in compliance with Nestlé procedures
- Collect data for monitoring performance indicators and presentations using MS tools such as PowerBI, Murals, etc.
- Lead cross-functional projects for monitoring laboratory assets
- Contribute to the management of various digital tools for laboratory asset management
- Organize meetings
- Announce visitors and service providers
- Contribute to and improve the team’s SharePoint pages and communication projects e.g. videos and information on Viva Engage (the enterprise version of Facebook) of the unit
Required knowledge:
- English (Very good skills, spoken and written)
- Agility in the digital world and applications, ability to quickly understand new IT systems, advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills, knowledge of web design is a plus
- Interest in the field of health, science and clinical research in nutrition, engineering and automation
- Passion for teamwork, quality work and desire to improve existing processes
- Autonomy, proactivity and good organization
